Darien Washington is a Financial Specialist at Chartwell Compliance.  Darien has over 6 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.

Throughout Darien’s career in finance and accounting, he has gained extensive experience and knowledge through his varying roles dealing with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and GAAP Compliance, Financial Reporting and general accounting duties for fortune 500 Companies as well as Government agencies.

Darien has his Bachelors degree in Accounting and is pursuing his Masters degree in accounting. He is also actively pursuing the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification and also regularly conducts research on current GAAP and Tax requirements to stay ahead of any changing regulations, laws and trends.

Darien is located in Washington DC, where he has lived on and off since he was a child due to the military obligations of his parents. He loves to travel, hike, spend time with family and friends, watch old movies from the 50’s, attend various sporting events, concerts and comedy shows and is also an avid weightlifter and sports enthusiast.
