Samuel Gaspar Corporate Development Assistant, Chartwell Compliance; Project Manager, Canopy Heritage

Sam is a Corporate Development Assistant at Chartwell, as well as Project Manager at Canopy Heritage. Sam provides support to the Chartwell executive team in efficiently achieving their goals and executing on corporate strategy including sales and leadership development initiatives. As a Project Manager at Canopy Heritage, he meets with and coordinates environmental and historical projects and fundraisers with non-profits across the Shenandoah Valley and Chesapeake Bay region.

Sam is a recent graduate from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. He was previously a co-manager at NGO Sustainability, a United Nations consultant group on the environment. Sam also worked as a GIS intern at USAID and volunteered at The Global Language Network in return for free Turkish classes.

Sam enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, biking, gardening, yoga, or camping. He enjoys traveling, as well as learning languages, and speaks French and Spanish. If he’s not outdoors, his weekends are typically spent going to cheap concerts and watching Premier League soccer.
