Sean McCormick is a Compliance Manager with Chartwell Compliance. He brings over nine years of AML experience and more than 16 years of experience within the financial services industry. Prior to joining Chartwell, Sean worked at Capital One and had a contractor role for Wells Fargo International Wealth Investment Management.

Sean’s financial services career started within Capital One’s U.S. Card division resolving executive and regulatory complaints. He discovered he had a curiosity for AML and later transferred to Capital One’s AML Department. There Sean gained extensive experience with suspicious activity quality assurance, Enhanced Due Diligence, transaction monitoring, and complex compliance investigations.

Sean is a currently pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with a Minor in Accounting at Liberty University. Sean has been CAMS certified since 2013.

Sean lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and four daughters. In his spare time, Sean is usually watching one of his daughters playing soccer for their club or school teams.
