Tyler Smith is a Compliance Professional in Chartwell’s License maintenance team and has over 3 years of experience within the money transmitter and banking industry.
Prior to joining Chartwell, Tyler worked on license acquisition, licensing maintenance, and BSA/AML operations at PingPong Global Solutions with a core focus ensuring that the daily operations in these areas were smooth, effective and the company remained compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. In addition to this activity, Tyler was also responsible for performing transaction monitoring, client due diligence reviews, payments reviews, and platform onboarding for merchants.
Before Ping Pong, Tyler was a lead teller at Wells Fargo, where he was responsible for client outreach and customer service as well as compliance activities such as account due diligence, transaction reviews as well as suspicious activity reporting.
Tyler holds a Bachelors degree in business management with a concentration in Finance from California State University, East Bay.
Tyler lives in Colorado with his wife, dog, and cat and enjoys spending his time outdoors with his family and has a passion for cars and motorcycles.
