Vick Ekizian, CAMS, PMI-RMP, CCFI Director - Global Outsourced Compliance

Vick bring over 13 years’ experience serving in various regulatory compliance and business control functions in the public and private sectors. He has had the opportunity to work in a variety of institutions honing his experiences in banking, cross-border payments, cryptocurrency, and regulatory examination and supervision. Vick has a diverse skillset centered around helping financial institutions build, maintain and comply with consumer and financial crimes compliance programs.

Prior to joining Chartwell, Vick held varying roles in financial technology. He was Director of Regulatory Compliance for The Reserve Trust Company, a B2B payments provider, where he was responsible for the management of examinations, audits and execution of risk assessments. He also held the role of Compliance Lead for Okcoin, a cryptocurrency exchange, where he served as an advisor on regulatory requirements globally for monitoring and detecting suspicious activities, including market surveillance and travel rule compliance.

Vick started his career working for Bank of America where he held various regulatory management roles providing independent oversight and advisory services to multiple business units within the consumer lending and mortgage servicing organization. There, Vick served as a lead to help address compliance matters related to certain deficiencies identified by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) about the Bank’s residential mortgage servicing and handling of foreclosure proceedings, that ultimately led to the lifting of a Consent Order in 2015. Additionally, from 2013 to 2016, Vick served as a primary point of contact for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Office of the Attorney General (AG) helping manage regulatory engagement initiatives, including examinations, information requests and responses to complaints and findings.

Vick also worked for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) as an Examiner, where he was responsible for managing an assigned district of federally insured credit unions through examination and supervision. After leaving the NCUA, Vick served as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer and Global Head of Financial Intelligence Unit for Associated Foreign Exchange (AFEX), a cross-border payments company, where he was responsible for administering the day-to-day Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter- Financing of Terrorism (CFT) program, including client onboarding, payment screening, transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting.

Vick earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Additionally, Vick is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP).

Outside of work, Vick enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He also enjoys working out, watching movies, reading, and hosting gatherings for his friends and family.
